The Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics invites you to participate in the international academic conference “Contemporary Issues in Tort Law in the BRICS Countries”, to be held on 16 October 2026 in a hybrid format (in person and online), commencing at 12:00 (Moscow time).
The conference is intended to provide a forum for scholarly discussion of recent developments in tort law across the BRICS jurisdictions, with particular emphasis on doctrinal analysis and comparative perspectives. In light of the increasing economic and legal interconnectedness of these jurisdictions, the examination of their respective approaches to liability raises important questions concerning both divergence and potential convergence of legal solutions.
The conference will address, inter alia, the following topics:

Acceptance of proposals is subject to review by the organizing committee, taking into account the relevance of the topic and its scholarly merit. The final programme of the conference will be determined upon completion of the review process.
