HSE Faculty of Law and Hanoi Law University Discuss Cooperation Prospects

During the visit of colleagues from one of Vietnam's leading law schools, the parties discussed potential avenues for the development of scientific and educational cooperation in the field of law, the possibility of the Vietnamese university joining the BRICS Law Schools Consortium, as well as prospects for representatives of Hanoi Law University to enroll in continuing professional education programmes offered by the HSE Faculty of Law.
The HSE University side was represented by:
• Mr. Alexander Larichev, Deputy Dean for Research;
• Ms. Elena Shchegolkova, Director of the Centre for Continuing Professional Education;
• Mr. Vitaliy Sochnov, Director of the International Cooperation Centre.
The Hanoi Law University delegation was represented by the Vice-Rector, Mr. Hoang Xuan Chau, as well as representatives of several university departments.
The HSE Faculty of Law representatives briefed their Vietnamese colleagues on interdisciplinary projects implemented at the Faculty, research and teaching activities of the specialized departments, academic law journals published at HSE University, and continuing professional education programmes.
The Vietnamese side, in turn, expressed a mutual and particular interest in interdisciplinary research, comparative law studies, and cooperation with the Faculty's specialized structural units. The Vice-Rector Mr. Hoang Xuan Chau also emphasized Hanoi Law University's interest in the work of the BRICS Law Schools Consortium and expressed readiness to join the activities and initiatives of the association.
The participants summarized the outcomes of the meeting, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and the need to move towards planning joint activities for the development of partnership promising areas.
