HSE Faculty of Law professor delivers lecture at China University of Political Science and Law

Alexey Ivanov , Professor at the HSE Faculty of Law and Director of the International BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre, delivered a guest lecture for students and staff of the Data Law Lab at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The lecture was timed to coincide with the visit of the Centre's delegation to China to participate in the China National Fair Competition Conference 2026. As part of the visit, the Centre also held an international research seminar at Tsinghua University in Beijing jointly with CIDEG.

About the Department

EPAM Law Offices is an international law firm in the CIS with offices in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and associated office in Cyprus. Founded in 1993, the firm provides the full range of legal services to domestic and foreign businesses, international organizations, and financial institutions across the CIS. The opening of the department is in line with the current strategy of the faculty, aimed at training graduates who will be in high demand with prospective employers, thanks to their legal knowledge and relevant practical skills. Such a partnership with Russia’s leading law firm will allow law students to directly engage with experienced legal professionals commended by peers in the Russian and foreign markets. As a result, the next generation of lawyers will be able to consolidate theoretical knowledge through practice and effectively apply skills required in the real legal world.
