4-th international conference  «Law in the Digital Environment»

Date: November 10 – 11, 2014

Moscow

Russian

Organizers: Faculty of Law and Research laboratory of Information Law, National Research University Higher School of Economics

The post-industrial formation of an information society gives rise to the question of how law will develop further in changed conditions. New concepts are forming, and new areas of law are emerging. The issue of information rights has now become front and centre.

These problems require comprehensive analysis and the development of an integrated approach. The international conference 'Law in the Digital Environment' aims to summarize current practice, identify the most problematic areas, and create proposals for further legislative development.

Information and communication technologies affect social relationships and promote their globalization. Lawyers from different countries face the need to identify both general and specific ways to develop national jurisdictions. It is therefore important that this conference be held at the international level.

The conference programme includes plenary sessions and panels featuring leading Russian and foreign experts and public figures.

The panels will address the following issues:

1. IT. Business. Law.

2. Copyright in the Digital Era.

3. Information Law: Current State and Prospects
