International Conference "Law in Digital Era" 2016

On 24-25 October International Laboratory for IT and IP Law of HSE organizes the VI International Conference "Law in Digital Era" 2016.

The post-industrial formation of an information society gives rise to the question of how law will develop further in changed conditions. New concepts are forming, and new areas of law are emerging. The issue of information rights has now become front and center. 

These problems require comprehensive analysis and the development of an integrated approach. The international conference “Law in Digital Era” aims to summarize current practice, identify the most problematic areas, and create proposals for further legislative development. 

Information and communication technologies affect social relationships and promote their globalization. Lawyers from different countries face the need to identify both general and specific ways to develop national jurisdictions. It is therefore important that this conference be held at the international level. The conference is aimed on discussion about current trends in IT\IP legislation in Russia and foreign countries.

The conference program includes plenary session and panels featuring leading Russian and foreign experts and public figures. The participants are University teachers, researchers and practical lawyers, judges.

The panels will address the following issues:

  • Modernization of model of copyright and related rights management
  • Problems of information security and personal data protection
  • Intellectual property law in digital environment

Time: 11:00 to 18:00. 

Registration starts at 10:00.
