Series of lectures 'Current issues of EU data protection law'
March, 22-23, International Laboratory for IT and IP Law organises series of lectures 'Current issues of EU data protection law'. Lectures will be held by Assistant Professor of Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society. Working language - English.
Within the lectures students will learn about:
- The system of EU data protection law. General principles of data protection law. Why relevant for Russia?
- Material scope of EU data protection law; changing concept of personal data;
- Personal scope of EU data protection law: role and responsibilities of the ‘intermediaries’ in the context of data protection;
- EU data protection reform: overview of some innovative solutions in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Time: 6.30 pm – 9 pm
