On April 24, 2026, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "The Evolution of Criminal Justice: Traditions, Innovations, and Prospects" was held at the Department of Criminal Law, Process, and Criminalistics of the HSE Faculty of Law. The event brought together leading legal scholars, practicing lawyers, representatives of law enforcement agencies and the legal profession.

Round table "Pre-trial cooperation agreement: law enforcement issues and defense tactics"

On March 20, 2026, the Department of Criminal Law, Process and Criminalistics of the HSE Faculty of Law hosted the All-Russian Round Table "Pre-Trial Cooperation Agreement: Law Enforcement Issues and Defense Tactics." The event brought together leading Russian procedural scientists, practitioners and novice researchers for a comprehensive discussion of one of the most complex and controversial institutions of modern criminal procedure law.

About the department

The Department of Criminal Law, Process and Criminalistics (formerly the Department of Judicial Systems and Criminal Law) was established in 2020 and carries out educational and scientific activities in the areas that make up national justice systems in Russia and abroad (organization of judicial power, law enforcement agencies, criminal proceedings, enforcement of court decisions) or are closely related to them (criminal law, criminology, criminalistics).
