Adam’s article entitled “Inconsistency in the practice of investment tribunals on issues of proof: does the reform have anything to offer?” is dedicated to contradictory approaches of investment tribunals to the issues concerning burden and standard of proof in investment disputes, as well as to how the uncertainty with respect to these issues can be accounted for in reforming the current system of settlement of disputes between investors and states.

Several months earlier the paper was awarded the International Law in the XXI Century Award for the best scientific paper on public international law.
