The Opening of V International Summer School on Cyber Law (ISSC 2016)
On July 4, International Summer School on Cyber Law (ISSC 2016) opened. The school brings together young researchers and legal practitioners from different countries for the fifth time. This year the preparation for the school coincided with the Laboratory acquiring international status: it was renamed International Laboratory for Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law.
On July 4, the opening of the International Summer School on Cyber Law (ISSC 2016) took place. It is an annual event, organized by the Laboratory for Information Law of the Higher School of Economics. For the fifth year the School unites foreign and Russian students and professionals involved in research in the field of information technology and intellectual property. This year the School is remarkable for the fact that its preparation coincided with the Laboratory acquiring international status: it was renamed International Laboratory for Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law.
Summer school participants will have a busy agenda, visiting the offices of PwC, Google, Yandex, where legal practitioners will talk about the latest trends in law in this rapidly developing field, hold workshops and case-study.
Moreover, during the school experts from IBM and Kaspersky Lab will review latest developments in computer technology, the opportunities they provide, and the difficulties that appear during their implementation.
