AI Law and Ethics Conference was held at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). The main theme was “Through the Looking Glass of AI Platforms: between global governance and techno-regulation?”
Amsterdam hosted the third international conference on privacy protection – Amsterdam Privacy Conference (APC 2018)
Mikhail Zhuravlev, the junior researcher of the International Laboratory for Information Technology and Intellectual Property, took part in the conference. The key topics of this year were the issues of countering market dominance through monopolization of data ownership, discrimination through the use of artificial intelligence and Big Data processing technologies.

The Opening of V International Summer School on Cyber Law (ISSC 2016)
On July 4, International Summer School on Cyber Law (ISSC 2016) opened. The school brings together young researchers and legal practitioners from different countries for the fifth time. This year the preparation for the school coincided with the Laboratory acquiring international status: it was renamed International Laboratory for Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law.
