Located at a crossroads of global, regional, and national interests, contemporary international law affects almost all spheres of society. The School of International Law keeps pace with significant international events and legal adjudication in order to provide hands-on education that prepares future lawyers and legal scholars for the demands of the current legal landscape. The School is at once a ‘think tank’ that provides expert analysis and a producer of top legal experts and lawyers in international law.

The Full-time Advanced Doctoral Programme is a special programme for graduate students focused on an academic career. It contemplates additional courses developing students’ academic knowledge and skills, as well as master classes, lectures and seminars by leading Russian and foreign researchers. Postgraduate students enrolled in the programme participate in HSE University academic projects and get the opportunity to undergo an internship at a partner university abroad. Selection for participation in the programme was made following an interview by the Admissions Committee. The main selection criterion was the research potential of the applicant, demonstrated by high-quality publications, participation in research projects and presentations at research conferences.
Ekaterina presented her project on the topic "International Law and Application of Coercive Measures in Response to Cyber Operations: Legality and Effectiveness", based on the research results within the framework of the scientific and educational group "International Law in the Cyber Age". Professor Vera Rusinova is the scientific supervisor of the project.
Congratulations to Ekaterina and wishes of success in studies at the Full-time Advanced Doctoral Programme!
