The School of International Law keeps pace with significant international events and legal adjudication in order to provide hands-on education that prepares future lawyers and legal scholars for the demands of the current legal landscape. During the conference sections, special attention was paid to the issues of the current global crisis, in particular, new challenges to the Old World, problems of progressive development and codification of international law, global security in an unstable world, Northern European and Arctic realities, problems of integrated security of the Asia-Pacific region, the future of diplomacy, energy, food and anti-terrorist security in the Middle East, regional geopolitics were discussed. Middle East, Sustainable Development Goals, international information security, the international economic system under transformation, Africa in the modern world.
The meeting of the section "Problems of progressive development and codification of international law" was attended by employees of the School of International Law: Elena Postnikova, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor and Alexandra Shishkova, postgraduate student. Elena made a presentation on the topic: "Measures to ensure cybersecurity as a tool for creating a single digital market of the European Union", and Alexandra presented the topic: "The basic values of EU law in the implementation of the European Neighborhood Policy".
