Located at a crossroads of global, regional, and national interests, contemporary international law affects almost all spheres of society. The School of International Law keeps pace with significant international events and legal adjudication in order to provide hands-on education that prepares future lawyers and legal scholars for the demands of the current legal landscape. The School is at once a ‘think tank’ that provides expert analysis and a producer of top legal experts and lawyers in international law.

HSE team in 2025 consisted of:
The team was coached by Matvey Tarasov (PhD Candidate of HSE Doctoral School of Law), Anastasia Burnakina (PhD Candidate of HSE Doctoral School of Law) and Alena Ilchenko (graduate of the Master's program "Law of International Trade and Dispute Resolution").

The Law Faculty team was awarded for the 3rd place in the "Best Memorial"nomination, and two team members were among the top-3 (Evan Lang) and top-4 (Maria Bessonova) best speakers of the Russian Championship. Besides, Matvey Tarasov won the "Best Coach" award.
The competition was judged by lawyers from leading firms and scholars in the field of public international law both from Russia and many other countries worldwide.
