Located at a crossroads of global, regional, and national interests, contemporary international law affects almost all spheres of society. The School of International Law keeps pace with significant international events and legal adjudication in order to provide hands-on education that prepares future lawyers and legal scholars for the demands of the current legal landscape. The School is at once a ‘think tank’ that provides expert analysis and a producer of top legal experts and lawyers in international law.

During the Global Rounds, the team consisting of HSE students faced formidable competitors from various countries, including India, Singapore, and Poland.
The team had a prolific season:
Before the Global Rounds, the team won the pre-moot organized by the FDI Moot Alumni Association and Moot Memoirs, surpassing 15 other teams from India, Argentina, Singapore, Vietnam, and China.
The team was comprised of a multinational group of students (Russia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan) studying at the HSE (Moscow): Arina Medvedeva, Dilzhan Baktybekova (students of Bachelor’s programme in Law), Polina Ostranitsa, Viktoria Polshakova, Pham Khanh Bao Trung, and Vladislav Chesnokov (students of Master’s Programme in Law of International Trade and Dispute Resolution).
The team was coached by the FDI Moot alumni and HSE graduates: Elena Murashko (Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners), Maria Antonova (Kovalev, Tugushi & Partners), Nikita Sinitsin (EPAM Law Offices), Konstantin Ksenofontov (Squire Patton Boggs), Daniil Vlasenko (Schellenberg Wittmer) and Dmitrii Shchetinin (LLM student at Utrecht University).
The team's participation would not have been possible without the generous support from the sponsor – the law firm “Rybalkin, Gortsunyan, Dyakin and Partners".
