Located at a crossroads of global, regional, and national interests, contemporary international law affects almost all spheres of society. The School of International Law keeps pace with significant international events and legal adjudication in order to provide hands-on education that prepares future lawyers and legal scholars for the demands of the current legal landscape. The School is at once a ‘think tank’ that provides expert analysis and a producer of top legal experts and lawyers in international law.

"Public International Law" has been taught in the inter-campus format for two years already, bringing together faculty from the Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm campuses. Undergraduate students from the three campuses follow a common curriculum, with lectures led by leading faculty members from the International Law Department: G. Bogush, D. Boklan, Y. Romashev, and V. Rusinova, while seminar groups are formed by campuses.
A special feature of the course is the organization of a mock trial in one of the international courts, in which all students must participate. In the 2020-2021 academic year, the “Public International Law” team held the first intercampus competition in international law (https://pravo.hse.ru/intlaw/news/427828820.html) with great success as part of this course.
We congratulate all teachers of the "Public International Law" course on this victory and wish all of you not to decrease the pace of effective educational methods’ implementation!
