The leading Russian and foreign international lawyers will convene an online-conference ‘Politics of Sanctions in International Relations: Between Rule of Law and Coercion’to commemorate an outstanding Soviet and Russian legal scholar I.I. Lukashuk, who could have celebrated his 95th anniversary this year.

The Faculty of Law made it to the top-100 of the Times Higher Education ranking by subject.

By subject ‘Law’ the Higher School of Economics has been ranked 85th, higher than the Bologna University, University of Helsinki, University of Geneva, and Trinity College. As in the previous year, the HSE is the only Russian university in the ranking, which once again highlights the position of the university as the leading Russian school of law.

Composite inter-campus courses competition is held by the HSE Education Innovation Fund in order to develop and strengthen inter-campus faculty cooperation through the effective use of digital distance learning technologies.

On 23rd and 24th September HSE School of International Law hold the International academic conference “International Justice: Looking into the Future”. Thanks to the online format, we gathered speakers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and several Russian cities.

Five professors of the School of International Law chosen as “Best Teachers 2021”!

HSE students voted for best teachers of 2021, resulting in five professors of the School of International Law being chosen: professors D.Boklan, E. Ivanov, V. Rusinova, V. Starzhenetsky and visiting lecturer S. Usoskin.
