International Conference "Development of Russian Law-IX:Russian Law and Globalization"

This conference continues the series of workshops, seminars, and conferences in Russian law, organized by the Faculty of Law since 2008. This annual event is devoted to discussions of the new and important topics within the field of Russian law and legal studies. This year’s focus is on globalisation and development of Russian law in the context of the globalised challenges and perspectives. Russian Law Journal (http://www.russianlawjournal.org/jour/index) is official information sponsor of the conference.

We encourage submissions of individual papers and full panels in the following themes and beyond:

1)     relationship between domestic and international law in Russia: challenges and perspectives;

2)     international legal institutions (ICC, ECtHR, BRICS, Commercial arbitration and others) and Russian legal changes and adjustments;

3)     globalising business law and Russia;

4)     legal theory and challenges of global law or globalisation of law;

5)     regional models of legal cooperation and Russia;

6)     transnational legal problems: constitutionalism, rule-of-law

7)     global transplants and Russian law;

8)     global agenda for human rights, Russia included.

We welcome legal researchers from across disciplines to join our discussions of Russian law and globalisation. We especially encourage younger scholars and graduate students to apply. The conference utilizes the bottom-up approach as to call for papers: Any topic within the sphere of Russian law which is considered important and/or crucial for the development of Russian law and legal studies by the applicant is welcome to be submitted as a proposal for conference participation.

The working language of the conference is English. All presentations and discussions are held in this language.

- Abstract (200-400 words).

For session proposals, please, include:

-     Title of your session;

-     Organiser’s name, affiliation and contact information;

-     Session’s Chair and Discussant;

-     Session abstract (400 words);

-     Each presenter’s name. affiliation and contact information;

-     Each presenter’s title and abstract (100 words).
