The Faculty of Law was one of the first faculties created in the Higher School of Economics. Economic and legal disciplines, new innovative courses, fundamental law disciplines and narrowly specialized courses are all equally important for the Faculty of Law. The Faculty's strength is the curriculum's focus on the practical, which perpares its graduates to successfully meet the demands of the labour market.
Dear international student,
Thank you for choosing our faculty for your international study experience. It is a great honour and pleasure for our faculty to have you with us!
Undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled at other universities can spend up to two semesters at HSE through Semester in Moscow as visiting students and earn transferable ECTS credits.
If you are currently enrolled at a university that is not a HSE partner (list of partners available here), you can study for up to two semesters at HSE as a fee-paying visiting student. Please consult with your academic advisors at your home university to select the courses that you would like to take at HSE, making sure that they are at the correct level of study and will fulfill requirements for your home university. You can contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about studying at HSE as a visiting student.
All information relating with international admission you can find here.
You can also read some tips on living in Moscow, preparation before departure, academic life at HSE and general issues. There is the International Student Handbook at HSE for your convenience.
This page is intended to serve as a quick reference whenever you encounter a problem or simply have a question. It will prepare you for life and study in Moscow and answer at least some questions that might arise during the first days of your stay.
Our Faculty offers many courses in English including Russian, Comparative and International law. You can find a list of such courses with descriptions here or view schedule of courses and requirements for admission here.
As an exchange or visiting student you can build up your individual curriculum by choosing from the lists of English-taught courses not only at the Faculty of Law but other Faculties as well.
If you have questions regarding admission process, content of courses or any other questions, please contact Tatyana Zhukova.
