Bake Sale at the Faculty of Law
The event was organized by students of the Faculty of Law with ICEF Outreach and faculty administration. Volunteers also played a special role in the event, the organisers would like to thank the faculty press centre, Saida Gadylshina and Vera Ivanova.
The Bake Sale at the faculty was held for two days, on December 2nd-3rd 2014, and students demonstrated their culinary skills, which were highly appreciated by the guests. Each of the participants cooked some very original pastries such as cookies decorated with colorful toppings, tartlets with candied fruit, a cake with ‘Happy Lawyer's Day!’ written on it, and many others.
However, not only did the cakes attract the attention of students and lecturers. The main goal of the event was to raise funds for children from children's homes in the village of Elatma and the town of Gavrilov-Yam. During the two days of the event the organisers managed to raise twenty-five thousand roubles. We should also note, that many people, after learning that it was a charity event, donated money with no treats in return.
During the Bake Sale everyone enjoyed pastries and also helped some underprivileged children. We hope that such events become traditional, and caring students and lecturers gladly support such initiatives in the future.
