In his opening remarks, Prof. Larichev emphasized that BRICS develops at a rapid pace, therefore the harmonization of approaches to legal regulation, the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the field of law play an important role in achieving the priority goals defined by the declarations of the BRICS summits.

The Consortium of BRICS Law Schools is intended to become a platform for mutually beneficial cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as for the implementation of joint projects. In today’s world, where legal systems face new challenges, our collaboration may not only help overcome these challenges, but also contribute to the development of the legal cultures of our countries.

We believe that this meeting will mark the beginning of a fruitful cooperation between supporters who share the main values of BRICS – equality and mutual respect, openness and pursuit of consensus, willingness to work together to solve common problems.
