The qualifying oral rounds took place from 25 to 26 November 2023, and already on 23 and 24 December the semi-final and final rounds of the EAEU Dispute Resolution international competition were held.

On November 5, 2023, another edition of the FDI Moot came to an end. This year more than 150 teams from the leading law schools from around the world participated in the competition. The Global Rounds of the 2023 edition were held in Lucknow, India.
In 2023, the team of the Faculty of Law of the Higher School of Economics took part in Willem С. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The HSE Faculty of Law team was represented by 4th year bachelor students Yaroslava Branovskaya, Maria Eremenko and Anna Zaikina, and also 3rd year bachelor students Kamilla Makhmudova and Alexey Tolstykh.
The HSE Faculty of Law team has successfully taken part in the Russian rounds of the prestigious competition in international law named after F. Jessup (International Law Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition), held from February 1 to 5 in in-person format.
The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot), the most prestigious competition in the field of international investment arbitration, was held in early November.
On 23rd and 24th September HSE School of International Law hold the International academic conference “International Justice: Looking into the Future”. Thanks to the online format, we gathered speakers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and several Russian cities.
The annual HSE Student Research Paper Competition (SRPC) helps young researchers try their hand in a real academic competition, where leading experts and professionals from HSE University assess their research papers. This year, participation will be open from September 1 to October 15.
Anastasia Sudar and Livia Panina, second-year master’s students of the HSE Faculty of Law, have returned to Moscow after participating in the One Belt and Road Student Forum. ‘The forum, which was held on December 4-7 in Beijing, was so full of various events, and we were so immersed in an entirely new culture, that when we came back we felt as if we had spent two weeks there.’
On February 7, 2016, the national finals of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious law competitions for students, took place in Moscow. The HSE Faculty of Law team took first place.
HSE Law Faculty alumni Oksana Akhmedova and Tatiana Zolotukhina won prizes at the annual Moscow Legal Run at VDNKh. 62 HSE students worked as volunteer organisers of the run.
